Horacio Pagani is Founder and Chief Designer of Pagani Automobili.
Horacio Pagani was born in Casilda, in the heart of the Argentine pampas. At 14 he discovered Leonardo Da Vinci's genius and the philosophy that from then on will influence his entire path: Art and Science are disciplines that can walk hand in hand.
In 2011 Pagani Huayra was presented, the first car in the world with active aerodynamics and created with the latest generation of composite materials such as carbon and carbon-titanium, the result of Pagani Automobili's know-how. Winner of the three most prestigious industry awards such as the Car of the Year in 2012, Huayra represents the perfect combination of scientific and artistic research that originates in the thought of Leonardo da Vinci, today a fundamental part of Pagani DNA.
Research on advanced composite materials and the continuous investment in the study of new methodologies, on fibers, resins and paints have always been a constant in Horacio Pagani's activity, a mission that has given rise to an extremely specific processing method.
The Pagani Atelier, born initially from the dream of an individual, is today made up of a team of over 170 people, including technicians, engineers and craftsmen who together share that same passion and pass on its concepts and methodologies.
The theoretical foundations and technologies developed by the Pagani Atelier, today at the base of the most modern hyper-cars, find continuity in some aspects, after 35 years, in the use of composite systems in multiple sectors, including the medical fields, nautical and aerospace.
