Cesare Bisoni, Professor "Emeritus" of Banking at the "Marco Biagi" Department of Economics of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, has been President of UniCredit since September 2019. His career at UniCredit began in 2006 by covering high level positions from the beginning. In 2010 he was appointed UniCredit S.p.A. Statutory Auditor, then member of the Board of Directors and Deputy Chairman.
He was Professor of Economics of Financial Intermediaries at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Director of the Centro Studi Banca e Finanza and Chairman of the Association of Professors of Economics of Intermediaries and Financial Markets.
Among other posts currently held, he is Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of ABI - Italian Banking Association, Member of the Board of Directors of Fondazione Universitaria Marco Biagi, Member of the European Financial Services Round Table in Brussels and Member of the Scientific Committee "Bank and Markets".
He graduated in Business and Economics at Bocconi University and obtained the ITP Diploma at Harvard Business School. He is also Certified Public Auditor.
